Fire Prevention
There was one scheduled public education event for the month of December. This was at Erie County Head Start 4405 Galloway Rd on Friday December 10th. This was a one hour talk about smoke detectors, holiday/electrical safety & use of fire extinguishers.
In December 11 new inspections were conducted and 5 re-inspections were done.

A final inspection at the new Chipoltle
1 hood acceptance tests, Salvation Army
On December 23, 2010 the fire department handed out the annual Christmas Cheer food baskets, This year 43 baskets were prepared. Each basket contains canned goods collected at Furry and Briar schools, along with items purchased from donations to the program. A total of 1,217 canned goods were collected from Furry & Briar schools. Items purchased for each basket this year were: (1) 12-14lb. turkey, 10# bag of potatoes, 1# butter, 1 loaf bread, dozen eggs, 1 gal. of milk and a box of stuffing. The canned goods were sorted and distributed between the 43 baskets. Six baskets were not picked up, and those items were donated to Victory Kitchen.
