Our goal is to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the public through diligent enforcement of adopted laws pertaining to zoning, residential and commercial construction, and property maintenance of existing structures.

The task of the Perkins Township Building Inspection, Zoning Department is two-fold: 1. One task is to uphold the zoning code of Perkins Township in respect to allowable district uses, regulations for lot sizes and setbacks, off-street parking, signage, and flood plain regulations. 2. The other task is to regulate new construction and property maintenance by enforcing established minimum requirements for premises, structures, mechanical equipment; and facilities for light, ventilation, heating, sanitation; and safety from fire, structural collapse and other hazards to safe and sanitary maintenance.
